4月24日，Our school invited Professor Zhang Yao, Executive director of Ceramic Art Committee of China Ceramic Industry Association, special creative researcher of Chinese Academy of Art, Professor of Packaging Design Art School of Hunan University of Technology, master tutor，The lecture "Vision and Creation" was held in the lecture hall of the library，More than 300 teachers and student representatives from the College of Digital Media attended the lecture。
Professor Yao Zhang aroundThe theme of "Vision and creation" is discussed, and the importance of expanding vision in artistic creation is discussed。Professor Zhang Yao introduced pottery works from different countries as a starting point, guided students to think about the close relationship between the scope of activity and cognitive development, and concluded: "In today's increasingly globalized society, the scope of individual activity is not limited to the breadth of geography, but also extends to the depth of knowledge and culture。The range of an individual's activities directly affects the formation of his cognitive structure and cognitive ability, thus shaping his way of understanding and responding to the world。Traveling and learning in a variety of environments can significantly improve an individual's adaptability to complex situations and problem-solving ability。”
At the conference, Professor Zhang Yao shared the interaction between cognitive enhancement and horizon expansion。He believes that there is a two-way dynamic relationship between cognitive improvement and personal horizon expansion。With the improvement of individual cognitive level, the perception and understanding of the external world will also be deepened, and in turn, the broad vision will promote the further development of cognitive ability。This process is not only a simple increase in knowledge accumulation, but also a comprehensive improvement in the depth and breadth of knowledge。
Afterwards, Professor Zhang Yao introduced his own experience and shared his artworks. He stressed that the source of creative thinking is the accumulation of knowledge and experience. Creativity comes not only from talent, but also from continuous accumulation of knowledge and rich life experience。Whether it is theoretical knowledge in books or practical experience gained through observing nature and society, it is a key factor in promoting creative thinking。The accumulation of this knowledge and experience provides individuals with a variety of approaches to problem solving and a basis for innovative thinking。

Finally, Professor Zhang Yao concluded that creation requires a high-level vision and the improvement of creative thinking. The high-level vision not only enrichis individual's life experience and knowledge background, but also the fundamental source of the improvement of creative thinking。At the same time, exquisite technical skills ensure the materialized quality of artistic works, so that they are not only thought-provoking, but also reach the height of aesthetics in form。However, vision and creation are necessary but not sufficient conditions. Although a broad vision is an essential element of artistic creation, it is not equivalent to creation itself。Only when individuals can transform their extensive knowledge and experience into profound cultural cognition can they truly enter the state of creation。Artistic works, as the materialized expression of the creator's thinking, need to be realized through the individual's unique cultural perspective and innovative thinking。
Professor Zhang Yao's profound academic skills and simple examples left a deep impression on everyone. The lecture ended successfully with warm applause. This activity has far-reaching significance for students to build cultural confidence and explore and innovate in traditional culture。
