The mushroom effect is usually used to describe the phenomenon of mushrooms in the early growth of a long-term lack of sunlight and fertilizer in the dark environment, often facing the situation of self-destruction, until they grow tall enough to be concerned。In a team setting, the mushroom effect is also often used to describe the phase that a beginner or beginner goes through, where he or she works quietly without being noticed or paid attention to until he or she shows enough ability or results to be taken seriously。

01cause

Cognitive Biases and Stereotypes:People often hold certain fixed opinions or prejudices about new members based on past experience or preconceived notions。This bias may stem from a lack of understanding of the new person's abilities, attitudes, or potential, leading to unfair treatment in their early years。

The only way to grow up:In any organization or team, new members need to go through a process of adaptation and growth。This process may include learning new skills, understanding organizational culture, building relationships, etc。In this process, the new person may appear relatively vulnerable and immature。

Fierce competition and limited resources:In a competitive environment, resources are often limited, and it is difficult for new members to obtain adequate support and resources due to their lack of experience or influence, thus limiting their growth and development。

Self-doubt and lack of confidence:Faced with a new environment and new challenges, new members may develop a psychological state of self-doubt and lack of confidence。This psychological state will cause them to be afraid to actively express their ideas and needs, further exacerbating the effect of the mushroom effect。

02How to deal with

01Stay positive When we first learn new skills, we will face various challenges and difficulties. We need to maintain a positive attitude, set clear goals, maintain a learning attitude, actively communicate problems, and firmly believe that we have the ability to overcome these difficulties。A positive attitude can help you cope better with stress and improve your productivity。

02Work hard During the mushroom period, work may not be visible, so don't get discouraged, and trust that these experiences will provide a solid foundation for future growth。A down-to-earth work attitude will win the recognition of others and prepare for the future。

03Present oneself Learn to show your abilities and results at the right time。Let more people see your value by participating in team projects, actively participating in team discussions, showing innovative thinking, sharing experiences, or making constructive suggestions。

04Keep learning and growing In the mushroom period, we should pay more attention to learning and improving our ability。By participating in training, reading books, and doing exercises, I will constantly update my knowledge and skills to prepare myself for future development。

"Each stage of growth has its own unique significance, and although the mushroom has long experienced darkness, it can finally welcome a bright future."。
