Guiyang Information Science and Technology University Library warmly welcomes faculty, students, alumni, party and government agencies and people from all walks of life to donate all kinds of books (including electronic books) to the library.。In order to do a better job of receiving donated books, the management measures for receiving donated books from the library of Guiyang Information Science and Technology Institute are formulated。

Article one How to receive the gift book:

oneCollection conditions for donated books

1.The content and publication of the book shall comply with the relevant laws, regulations and copyright Law of the People's Republic of China;

2.A regular publishing house approved by the National Radio and Television Administration and an official publication with an international standard book number;

3.The content is in line with the needs of the university's disciplines, professional Settings, teaching and research work, and has academic reference value;

4.The library has not yet collected or the number of copies in the collection is insufficientIn duplicate1-3A surname。

twoCollection of donated books is not accepted

1.It is not published by the formal publishing house registered by the National Radio and Television Administration的Publications;

2.Piracy, number theft, content violating laws and regulations, anti-science, political problems;

3.Damaged and unusable, notes with serious or incomplete overlines;

4.The contents are out of date and have no academic or reference value;

5.The library already has a collection, and it is not suitable to add more copies;

6.An incomplete book or publication in a number of volumes;

7.Advertisements, pictures, brochures of less than 49 pages;

8.Books that have essentially no academic reference value;

9.Other books that do not comply with our collection development policy。

Article 2 Management measures for gift books:

Books are donated free of charge and without any conditions, and the library determines whether to collect them in accordance with the library's collection development policy and relevant collection criteria。

oneHandling of donated books

2.The library shall not undertake the obligation to return the donated books to the donors;

3.For the donated books that are not included in the collection, the library can take such treatment methods as transferring, floating or directly eliminating the books according to the value of the documents。

twoManagement of donated books

1.The staff of the collection and editing Department shall be responsible for the management of donated books, receive the donors, fill in the certificate of donated books, register the donated books, record the name of the donors, the title, quantity, time, address, postal code and contact information of the donated books;

2.For famous scholars, well-known people donated valuable, a large number of literature can be set up counters, racks open to readers;

3.For the donated books that meet the requirements for collection, the library will carry out post-processing of the books according to the principles of cataloging, processing and collection of the books in the library automation integrated management system under the bibliographic dataThe "information source" is indicated as "gift book" and included in the reader's inquiry directory。

三.Gift receipt

Once the donated books are received, the library will issue a letter of thanks or a gift certificate to the donor to show encouragement and gratitude。

四.Overseas gift book

For all overseas(including Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan) gift books will be strictly controlled and will not be accepted。

Article 3 How to use the gift book:

1.The library shall classify, catalogue, process and compile the donated books in accordance with the standard of ordinary booksCollection, enter the corresponding library, readers can read and borrow;

2.The donated books in the collection shall be managed according to the ordinary book lending rules。

Article 4 How to receive the gift book:

1.Direct delivery: donors send books directly to the library office of Guiyang Institute of Information Science and Technology;

3.For a large amount of books donated, the library will confirm the name and quantity of the donated books according to the book list, and then send them to the library in a mutually agreed manner。
