Psychological counselors should carry out psychological counseling on the premise that the client is completely voluntary。It is the duty of the counsellor to explain to the client the principle of confidentiality in the work of the counsellor and the limits of its application。In case of group consultation, confidentiality should also be established in the visiting group。
The relevant information in psychological counseling work, including case records, test materials, letters, audio recordings, video recordings and other materials, should be sent to the psychological archives for storage in a timely manner under strict confidentiality。In addition to psychological counselors and archivists, any other personnel of the school, including class teachers and teachers, have no right to view the files in the psychological archives room。
If it is necessary to consult the client's psychological file, the client's consent or the relevant certificate issued by the student management department of the school (department) and the signature of the person in charge of the center can be registered for inspection。The person who consults the content must keep it strictly confidential. If there are any adverse consequences caused by the disclosure, the person shall bear the responsibility。
When receiving psychological assessment, students have the right to know the interpretation and suggestion content of the assessment analysis results, but have no right to consult the specific statistical analysis content of their own assessment analysis。
Psychological counselors can make audio and video recordings of the consultation process only with the consent of the client。Professional case discussions, teaching citations, and research writing should withhold information that might identify the client, except with the client's consent (written transcript)。
In the psychological counseling work, once it is found that the visitor has the potential to endanger the safety of their own and others' lives and property, necessary measures must be taken to prevent the occurrence of external events (if necessary, the relevant departments or families should be notified), but the exposure of relevant information should be limited to the minimum range。
Psychological counselors shall not make false statements or reports when they are questioned by public security organs or the judicial system under the circumstances prescribed by law。
